EGO TRIP

This class isn’t about rules: it’s about breaking them.

EGO TRIP is an invitation to create photos from your soul. Images that feel like you—unfiltered, intuitive, and alive. It’s for photographers who crave a “me-first” EGO TRIP— to fuck up, play around and make photographs on their own terms.

EGO TRIP pushes beyond assumption and expectation into the landscape of obsession, passion, and vision.

This isn’t a class about playing it safe. It’s about making the work you want to see—work that sticks, feelings that linger, images that won’t let you go. EGO TRIP —it’s an edgy, visceral adventure. A deep dive into photography as craft, passion, and instinct.

“I am far from perfect nor did I ever pretend to be and that gives me so much freedom. The freedom to fuck up. Isn’t that the best?” - Didi von Boch

EGO TRIP is for photographers, artists, and anyone who feels stuck. For those who want to feel more when they create. For the ones who wonder how to align their creative vision with client work.

EGO TRIP with Didi von Boch was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. It wasn’t just a workshop; it was an invitation to step out of the safe zone and into raw, unfiltered expression. Didi creates a space that is wild, honest, and deeply human. It was exactly what I needed.”

MEET THE TEACHER
A woman lying on a beige couch with her feet up, wearing a plaid shirt, and making rock-and-roll hand signs. A girl with long hair and a blue shirt is upside-down on the backrest, giving a peace sign. The scene takes place in a living room with framed pictures on the wall and pink curtains.

Didi

Von Boch

Hallo! I’m Didi. I don’t believe in rules or in anything that holds us back from what we are trying to do — to create with our soul, voices, and guts.

Every photographer has their own unique perspective and voice. I want to help you discover and push the boundaries of yours.

I’m known for my unapologetic, “fuck-the-formula” approach. I revere the everyday, elevating it as art in a vivid body of work fueled by my obsession with color, movement, family, and the Mother.

I moved from Germany to Northern California 12 years ago. I live with my 2 little boys and husband Philipp. I am obsessed with photography, the image, mentoring…

My mentorships and classes are refreshingly honest, unconventional, and permissive. I’m a generous feelings-first teacher, - I will encourage you to surrender your self-made limitations and open up to fresh, always-new approaches to express your vision.

In EGO TRIP the key is you. Free style, freely messing around, happily messing up to set yourself free. I want to infect you with my enthusiasm and my love for fucking around, for not taking it too seriously, and for trying new ideas.

The good thing about messing up is feeling free.
See you in class!

Didi’s work has been recognised in the Fine Art Photography Awards - where she was awarded a 1st Place Gold Award in the People category. She was also a winner for her image ‘From Outside In’ in the International Photography Awards . In 2025 her work was exhibited in Australia as part of the Head on Awards.

What other students had to say

This course changed my life. I always thought you had to seperate your artistry from your client work and Didi showed everyone in our class how you can blend the two and create work for yourself which will open yourself to a career with the work you want to make, not the work you think you have to make! And there is NO ONE but Didi that can teach this course. I would pay for this course 5 times again.

These last two weeks with Didi were just what I needed to ignite the spark in my creativity in a way I haven't explored previously. Didi's very giving of her time and willing to answer all questions in a meaningful way. Her personality is magnetic and her creative energy is contagious. You feel empowered to kick any insecurities you have to the wayside, and get to work making work you have been dreaming of creating. No excuses!

What an incredible insight into Didi's world!  She's refreshingly direct and deeply caring, making sure everybody in the class is included, whether you had an active seat or a silent one.  One takeaway from the class, just go for it and make your dream a reality
