Photography Lighting Classes

Learn how to take compelling photographs by mastering natural and studio lighting.

Light is everything in photography. Our photography lighting classes give you different ways to explore and master it. Some courses focus on natural light photography, teaching you to use whatever light you have—anytime, anywhere. Others dive into off-camera flash on location, showing you how to shape light with intention and flexibility. You’ll also study classic lighting styles in photography like split light, and Rembrandt, learning how each one changes the mood and depth of your images. These classes aren’t just about setups and gear—they’re about discovering how light itself can transform your photography.

Independent students have full access to class content and can participate in class discussions —they just don’t get teacher critique and feedback on images or assignments.

Both learning options offer a rich and inspiring experience and are open to students all over the world.
