Illuminate Classes – Terms of Service (for Students)

Last updated: January 2026

Welcome to Illuminate Classes. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our classes, content, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By registering for or participating in any class, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • “Illuminate”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to Illuminate Classes.

  • “Student”, “you”, “your” refers to the individual enrolling in or accessing classes.

  • “Classroom” refers to the online learning platform where lessons, assignments, and discussions take place.

  • “Teacher” refers to the instructor leading a course.

2. Registration & Eligibility

  • You must complete the registration process and provide accurate, current contact information and (where applicable) accurate, current payment information.

  • Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • By registering for a class, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Class Participation

  • Class Format: Classes are delivered online via the Classroom. There are no required live attendance times unless specified. Students are encouraged to meet assignment deadlines. Teacher feedback will only be provided where deadlines are met or where an alternative submission date has been agreed.

  • Time Commitment: To gain full value, students should expect to spend approximately one hour per day on average, though this may vary by class.

  • Classroom Access: After a class concludes, the Classroom remains open for one (1) year for content review. Teachers are not required to respond to questions during this period.

  • Class Size: Classes are intentionally small to ensure quality interaction and may sell out.

    4. Types of Seats

Illuminate offers two seat types:

  • Guided Seat: Includes full participation, tailored assignment feedback, and personalised feedback on images and exercises.

  • Independent Seat: Includes full access to all materials and discussions, without Teacher feedback on assignments, images, or exercises.

Seat upgrades from Independent to Guided may be available prior to class commencement, subject to availability.

5. Fees & Payment

  • Tuition: Prices are listed on individual class pages.

  • No Membership Fees: You only pay for the classes you enrol in.

  • Payment Methods: Major credit cards and PayPal are accepted where available.

  • Currency & Taxes: Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. Additional taxes or currency conversion fees may apply.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

  • All Sales Final: All purchases are non-refundable.

  • Seat Transfers: You may transfer your seat to another student prior to the class start date. You are responsible for notifying the Teacher once a transfer occurs.

  • Minimum Enrolment: Illuminate reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class if minimum enrolment is not met, in which case a full refund will be issued.

7. Intellectual Property & Copyright

7.1 Teacher Content

  • Copyright for all class content — including lessons, written materials, images, videos, assignments, prompts, and curriculum — remains the exclusive property of the Teacher.

  • Students are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use class materials for personal educational purposes only.

  • Class content may not be copied, distributed, republished, or used to create derivative works or teaching materials without prior written permission from the Teacher.

7.2 Student Content

  • Copyright for any images, written work, or materials posted by students in the Classroom remains with the student.

  • By posting content, students grant Illuminate and the Teacher a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the Classroom for educational purposes.

7.3 Image Usage Responsibilities

  • Students must only post images or materials for which they hold the appropriate usage rights or permissions.

  • Illuminate is not responsible for copyright infringements arising from materials uploaded by students.

  • Any content found to violate copyright or usage rights may be removed at Illuminate’s discretion.

8. Communications & Newsletter Subscription

  • By registering for a class, you agree to be added to the Illuminate Classes newsletter and email database.

  • Communications may include class updates, future offerings, and relevant educational content.

  • You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link provided. Transactional and class-related emails will still be sent as required.

9. Third-Party Links

The Illuminate Classes website, Classrooms, emails, or materials may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, or services, including affiliate links.

Illuminate does not control or operate these third-party sites and does not endorse or make any representations regarding their content, products, services, privacy practices, or availability. Links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only.

If you choose to access a third-party site via a link provided by Illuminate or a Teacher, you do so entirely at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of that third party.

10. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to participate respectfully and professionally. Harassment, disruptive behaviour, misuse of the Classroom, or violation of these Terms may result in removal from the class without refund.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Illuminate Classes and its Teachers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in classes or use of class materials.

12. Changes to These Terms

Illuminate may update these Terms from time to time. Any material changes will be posted on the Illuminate website or communicated via email.
