This class is for the photographers that want to make art, share art and make a living without selling their soul.

It will give you freedom from feeling haunted by all the marketing ‘shoulds’. Allowing you to let go of feeling enslaved by an algorithm and remember that a thriving social media presence is not the only pathway to success.

All students walk away with clarity on their brand and how to communicate it to clients in a way that is considered, clear and compelling. You will also discover why the things that make you an artist are also the exact things that make you a fantastic marketer.

Griffiths

Hi, I’m Bec. For many years I led a double life. By day I was a marketing professional in the corporate world. By night I was an artist exploring what it means to live in an era where women are told we can ‘have it all’ - but not at what cost.

In 2020 I found a way to meld these two lives and began dedicating more time to my art as well as co-founding Naked Marketing School with my friend Yan Palmer.

Naked Marketing, which began as a simple idea to help artists feel less gross about marketing, grew into a global education community that helps artists build successful art-based businesses without losing their integrity in the process.

In 2024 I also became a co-owner, alongside Summer Murdock, at Illuminate Classes which has allowed me the time to create art that I am proud of, that explores themes I feel strongly connected to and to invest in my own artistic learning.

I’m so excited to be part of the team of Illuminate Classes not just as an owner but also as a teacher. I love helping artists find an authentic way to create marketing that works and also feels good (yes it’s possible!) through my 5-week workshop - The Art of Marketing.

What other students had to say

Thank you for breaking down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps, which made it so much easier to grasp the fundamentals of marketing—especially for creatives like myself.

I’m leaving the course with so much more confidence in my marketing skills, and I feel truly prepared to apply what I've learned.

Thank you again for being such a wonderful teacher!

I would highly recommend taking this if you have the marketing ick feeling. Bec reframes how to think about marketing and applying it towards your business in such a practical and easy way. I found it really to be a mind shift that I will use forever for whatever application needed.

Bec is a wonderful teacher and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share when it comes to marketing. I found it inspiring how she was able to mesh the two worlds of art and marketing that so often feel like they don’t belong together. The Art of Marketing course did a wonderful job of removing the fear and aversion to marketing and gave me impactful ways to approach marketing my own work.
