Portrait Photography Classes

Discover the art of portrait photography.

Our classes explore everything from classic techniques to the history of portraits to getting creative with self-portrait photography. Learn the essentials of professional portrait photography by working with your subject in a way that captures the true essence of who they are. We’re digging deep here—it’s more than just knowing how to use your camera; it’s about learning how to really see your subject. You can also explore the creative side of self-portraits, gaining confidence both in front of the lens and behind it. These interactive courses will help you create portraits that speak to the soul.

Self Portraits for Growth

Learn your story. Tell your story. It’s time to come back to yourself.  The exercises and assignments in this class will guide you through the process of realigning with your vision and values, get over the apprehension of what to do with your body in front of the lens, and teach you how to create compelling self portraits.

Two young women are on the porch of a house, one lying down with her head on the other's lap and the other sitting upright. They are barefoot, with sneakers on the ground nearby. The porch has potted plants and a ladder resting against the side. Trees are visible in the background.
